Baby Adam is Missing. Oliver and Mom go searching

Baby Adam is Missing
It was a quiet afternoon in the small town of Maplewood. Oliver, a curious and brave 10-year-old, was playing in the backyard while his mom, Mrs. Thompson, was inside tending to baby Adam. But when she stepped away for just a moment to answer the phone, she returned to find the crib empty. Panic set in—Baby Adam was missing!
Oliver heard his mom’s frantic cries and rushed inside. “What’s wrong, Mom?” he asked, his heart racing.
“Adam’s gone! He was right here, and now he’s nowhere!” she exclaimed, tears welling up in her eyes.
Without hesitation, Oliver grabbed his flashlight and a small backpack of supplies. “We’ll find him, Mom. Let’s go!”
The two began their search around the house, calling out Adam’s name. Oliver noticed the back door slightly ajar and pointed it out to his mom. “He couldn’t have gone far,” Oliver said, trying to stay calm.
They followed a trail of tiny footprints in the soft dirt outside, leading toward the dense woods behind their house. The sun was beginning to set, casting long shadows through the trees. Oliver’s mom was visibly shaken, but Oliver reassured her, “We’ll find him, Mom. I promise.”
As they ventured deeper into the woods, Oliver’s sharp eyes spotted something—a small piece of fabric from Adam’s blanket caught on a bush. “This way!” he called, leading his mom further into the forest.
The trail led them to an old, abandoned treehouse hidden among the trees. Oliver climbed up carefully and peeked inside. There, curled up and fast asleep, was Baby Adam, clutching his favorite stuffed bunny.
“Mom, he’s here! He’s okay!” Oliver shouted, relief flooding his voice.
Mrs. Thompson rushed up the ladder and scooped Adam into her arms, tears streaming down her face. “Oh, Adam, you scared us so much!”
Oliver smiled, proud that he had helped find his little brother. As they made their way back home, Oliver held Adam’s tiny hand, promising himself that he would always keep a closer eye on his adventurous baby brother.
